Caring For Creation
Sometimes called “The Green Team”, Care for Creation exists to emphasize the importance of caring for God’s creation, the Earth. According to Genesis 2:15, “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to till it and keep it.” The team’s efforts are focused on establishing and promoting environmentally sustainable practices. This is done through waste reduction programs, recycling, energy conservation, pollution prevention, and pollinators. We strive to leave Earth a better place for our children, and future generations.
Communications
Ensuring effective and timely communications for church members, staff, and the community at large, the Communications team leverages a multitude of tools to get the word out. Some of these tools include social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram), Tithe.ly text messaging, weekly announcements, monthly newsletter, electronic highway message sign, church website, and press releases. Our goal is to keep everyone informed, while having fun doing it!

Congregation Life
Congregation Life provides opportunities to promote fellowship within the congregation through fellowship, food, and fun. Partnering with other sponsoring teams, we help facilitate the use of the facilities and equipment. Our mission: To coordinate and host annual church events for the congregation.
Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care team assists and supports members and friends of the church with pastoral ministry needs with acts of kindness and love. The support provided for individuals or families during times of challenge or crisis includes delivering meals, visiting, calling, sending cards, providing transportation, and administering communion to homebound members.

Stewardship
The Stewardship team works to evoke and promote good stewardship as an expression of Christian faith in daily living. The team encourages every member to use all that God has given them in grateful and appropriate ways to fulfill God’s will for us in the world, our church, and as individuals. In doing this, the team equips members to share their time, talent, and treasure. We aim to promote a Christian understanding of the use of these gifts.
WELCA
Our women participate in the life and work of St. Andrew’s congregation. We are assigned to the Del-Mar-Va Cluster, which comes under the Delaware-Maryland Synodical Women’s Organization and interdependent partnership with Women of ELCA. We meet bimonthly to work on creating quilts (mostly tying) which are shared with members of the community. Many of our quilts are sent to Lutheran World Relief to bring warmth and comfort to people around the world. We schedule two luncheons a year, a September salad lunch followed by a program, and a Christmas lunch. Fellowship is a core principle of our gatherings.

Worship & Music
The Worship & Music team is responsible for creating an atmosphere of faith, hope, and love at every church service. We love to worship God through songs of praise, and it is a vital part of our Sunday worship services. The team provides opportunities for participation in the worship service for all ages and abilities. Seeking ways to enhance the effectiveness of worship life, the team encourages people of all ages to establish a meaningful home and personal worship life.
